Adulteration – One of the biggest concerns for food in India

To ensure food safety has been one of the biggest challenges for India. Most of these problems can be attributed to India’s ever-growing population. To meet the demands of this population, the use of pesticides and fertilizers increased, which in turn led to the deterioration of food. The consumption of this sub-standard quality of food has affected the health of millions.

In April 2016, CSE (the Centre for Science and Environment) stated that contamination is the greatest challenge for food safety in India. In light of this, thorough inspection of food and food practices has become essential.
